Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technology is the most widely adopted technology for detecting metal loss in pipelines, and VERECO is proud to offer advanced MFL inspection services. Our MFL tools are designed for use in pipelines ranging from 6” to 56” in size, ensuring coverage across a broad spectrum of oil and gas pipelines. These tools are available in various configurations, allowing them to be tailored to meet the specific needs of any pipeline system, regardless of its operating environment or the challenges it presents.
For pipelines with theavy walls, VERECO provides heavy wall MFL tools, which are specifically engineered to ensure pipewall sturation and accurate data collection, even under the toughest conditions. Whether your pipeline is located in aggressive environments, contains difficult-to-pig features or covers long distances, VERECO's MFL technology can adapt to suit your needs. Moreover, specialized MFL tools can be developed on request to handle unique or highly challenging pipeline situations.
VERECO's MFL tools utilize a strong magnetization system that fully saturates the pipe wall, detecting changes in magnetic flux where metal loss anomalies exist. This data is then analyzed to accurately determine the size, location, and extent of the damage, typically caused by corrosive processes. With these tools, pipeline operators can maintain pipeline integrity by addressing threats before they escalate into failures.
A huge number of pipelines and industry piping were designed to be laid in confined areas and thus they do not have pig traps. Such pipelines are most likely equipped with so called pig or three-way valves supposed to accommodate only some short body foam or steel mander pigs. In-line inspection needs were not considered originally.
However, we developed custom ultra-short high resolutions MFL inspection tool, that can be launched from and received in pig valves just as cleaning pigs. These tools will provide inspection data meeting industry standards for traditional MFL tools. Thus the high demand for inspection and fitness-for-service assessment of such pipelines are met by VERECO.
Our equipment is duly certified by the notified body in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU - ATEX as specified in "Specifications and requirements for in-line inspection of pipelines" issued by POF (rev. 2021) . Thus our tools are safe to use in the exposive areas and VERECO as an in-line inspection services provider complies with the highest industry standards ensuring safe and environmentally friendly approach to any job
