Pigging valves
Pigging valves are specialized pipeline components designed to facilitate the safe and efficient launching and receiving of pipeline pigs—devices used for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining pipelines without halting product flow. Unlike standard valves, pigging valves are engineered to allow the unobstructed passage of pigs, ensuring seamless operation during pigging processes.
Typically, pigging valves are based on a T-type three-way fixed ball valve design, modified to accommodate pig insertion and retrieval. When the valve's bore aligns with the pipeline, the pig is propelled through the system by the pressure of the flowing medium

Running ILI tools through 3-way pig valves
VERECO designed and built single module MFL and caliper tools that can be launched and received using standard pig valves.
The dimensions of these tools are similar to dimensions of standard single-section cleaning pigs and they are handled in the same manner.
The provide the same data quality as our conventional MFL and Caliper tools, but even easier to handle, launch and receive. Running our ultra-short tools in fact makes these pipelines "ILI-piggable" finally

ATEX (Group II, Category 2)
Our equipment is duly certified by the notified body in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU - ATEX as specified in "Specifications and requirements for in-line inspection of pipelines" issued by POF (rev. 2021) .
